Matt Hubbard plays "back-alley beatnik blues" (Austin Chronicle) on his funky Hammond organ, honky-tonk piano, hobo harmonica and down-home trombone.
Matt has worked with legend Willie Nelson for many years, recording numerous albums and duets at Willie’s home studio in Luck, Texas, including “Rainbow Connection” and “Run That By Me One More Time" both nominated for the Country Album of the Year Grammy. Matt played keyboards, trombone and harmonica for several years with jam band 7 Walkers featuring Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann, Meters’ bassist George Porter Jr. and guitarist Papa Mali. He now records and tours with Edie Brickell & New Bohemians while holding down a weekly residency with the Matt Hubbard Trio at C-Boy's Heart & Soul.
Recorded in Austin, Texas "Live at C-Boy's" captures the band firing on all cylinders and features New Bohemians Brad Houser and John Bush on bass and percussion along with Robbie Kidd and Josh Perdue on drums and guitar.
